Double Dark-Chocolate and Ginger Biscotti

 This recipe is so healthy and delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, plus 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 3 ounces dark chocolate, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined; set aside. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg, egg yolk, and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in the vanilla and oil until well combined.
  3. With the mixer on low, beat in dry ingredients until combined. Fold in walnuts, chocolate, and ginger with a rubber spatula (dough will be stiff).
  4. With moistened hands shape the dough into 2 logs, each about 9 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Bake until set on top, about 20 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees.
  5. Transfer logs to a cutting board and, with a serrated knife, cut each log on the diagonal into 16 slices, each 1/2 inch thick. Bake until crisp, about 20 minutes, turning the biscotti over midway through. Cool 5 minutes on a baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Vegan Egg-Free Omelette

Vegan Egg-Free Omelet

(1 serving)


  • 6 ounces (1/2 package) extra-firm tofu
  • 1/3 cup soy milk (plus extra for batter consistency)
  • 1 Tablespoon brown rice flour
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
Remove tofu from package - draining all liquid. Place block on stacked paper towels. Gently press down on it with additional paper towels to remove excess liquid. Cut tofu into 5 or 6 blender-friendly pieces.

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. Tilt container to see if batter will slowly flow. If not, add additional soy milk by the Tablespoon until the batter is pourable. (Note: A fluffier, non-flowing batter is good for making Mock Scrambled Eggs, but it will break apart as an omelet.)

Place an 8-inch non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add about 1 Tablespoon of olive oil and swirl pan to coat (or spray generously with cooking spray).

Pour the "egg" batter into the pan. Spread the batter gently to completely coat the bottom.

This is a great time to prepare any omelet fillings (suggestions below).

Cover and cook omelet 6 to 8 minutes until the top appears dry. If the omelet doesn't move freely when shaking the pan, gently work a spatula underneath so it loosens from the pan.

Add toppings to the half of the omelet farthest away from the pan's handle.

To plate and flip, begin to slide the omelet onto a serving plate. When half of the omelet is on the plate, tilt the pan over so the omelet folds in half.

Cream Cheese Spinach Omelette

(1 serving)


  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon toasted sesame seed oil
In a bowl, mix together cream cheese and spinach. In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs. Brush sesame seed oil on the bottom of a frying pan. Preheat pan on medium heat, pour in eggs.

Cook until able to flip egg. Spread cream cheese mixture onto cooked side of egg. Wait 30 seconds to ensure the other side of the egg is cooked, fold in half, wait 1 minute to melt cream cheese mixture. Remove from heat, serve.

Simple Kids Recipe for Pizza

Kids Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:
6 oz Tomato paste or pizza sauce
6 English muffins; split
Garlic powder
Oregano
Basil (optional)
Topping:
Mozzarella cheese
Onions
Mushrooms
Olives
Green peppers
Directions:
1. Place English muffin halves on an ungreased baking sheet and spread each half with tomato paste.
2. Sprinkle with oregano, basil and garlic powder.
3. Arrange toppings; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 450 degrees F for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

3 Day Diet that will work

I came across this on the net and wondered if it worked, a friend tried it and swears by it.
This diet should only last only 3 days!!!!!!!

Daily Instructions:
Drink 4 glasses of water or diet soda per day. You may use herbs, salt, pepper, lemon, vinegar, Worcestershire, soy sauce, mustard and ketchup on your food.

3 Day Diet Day One


Breakfast:
Black coffee or tea with Equal or Sweet & Low
1/2 grapefruit or juice
1 slice toast with 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Lunch:
1/2 cup of tuna

Dinner:
3 ounces of lean meat or chicken (any kind)
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 apple

Lemonade Diet

 Lemonade Diet. Its been said that you can lose between 10 to 20 pounds during the ten day diet period. Beyonce was famous for this diet to play the role in Dream Girls. Please make sure you talk a doctor first before you try this diet.


You need to follow these steps:
1. Drink about 100 ounces of the lemonade per day.
2. Drink the salt water flush in the morning as soon as you wake up and drink the herbal laxative tea at night before bed.
3. You cannot eat anything while on the Lemonade Diet. You drink only the lemonade, the saltwater flush, and the herbal tea.
4. The Lemonade Diet is a cleansing and elimination diet, which claims to help rid the body of toxins along with helping you to lose weight fast.

Lemonade Diet Lemonade Recipe:
2 oz. of fresh squeezed lemon juice (must be fresh squeezed)
2 oz. of maple syrup (must be grade B, organic maple syrup)

1 graham cracker pie crust
8 ounce package soft cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
8 ounces Cool Whip, slightly thawed
Easy Cheesecake Recipe #1 Directions:
1. Beat cream cheese until smooth, add sugar and mix well. Add sour cream and vanilla, mix well. Fold in Cool Whip.
2. Spoon into pie crust and chill for 4 hours.

1. Lemon Cayenne Pepper

Ingredients

  • Fresh lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Organic B Grade maple syrup – 2 tbsp
  • Cayenne pepper – 1/8th tsp (add more or less as required)

Method

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup packed spinach leaves
  • ½ cup packed Romaine leaves
  • ½ cup packed argula leaves
  • ¼ cup chopped watercress
  • 3 large carrots
Directions:
Juice the above ingredients together into a large glass. You can add some water if needed. Mix well and drink. This green wonder cleanse is one of the best homemade detox drink to me.
